Not that shopping is a way to recover from 33 hours of traveling, but I needed to get some purchases out of the way so today was the day. I traveled to MBK It is a huge discount/knockoff series of hundreds of vendors selling everything imaginable. I needed Polo shirts for work and I was looking for soccer jerseys for the boys. Picture of the King of Thailand are everywhere. He is loved by the people of his country but he is in poor health. The grocery store was near the hotel so I stocked up on drinks and seaweed snacks. The trains in Bangkok are very efficient and they are a convenient way to get to any destination in the city.
I am spending the rest of my day sending out progress reports to my parents via email. I have written 102 reports for each of my students. It is a tedious task that is done each quarter for every student to update parents on whether their child is making progress on the goals I wrote for their son or daughter that they will accomplish over a three year period. Time to work.
Today is 98 degrees with a dew point of 74. It is hot! Before air conditioning, I do not think Thailand would be an enjoyable place to go on vacation.
