Eating Hot Thai Food

It is Saturday, and like every other day Thais take to the streets and crowd into restaurants.  I wanted to try some hot Pad Thai and went to a restaurant that my hotel recommended.  Ping Toa Guy, located five minutes from the hotel, is well known for their many HOT dishes.  I arrived at noon, only to find a twenty minute wait to be seated.  I told the Thai hostess, neung khun, (one person) and was seated in 3 minutes at the bar.  I was promptly given the menu that was divided into four sections, pawn, klang, run and run mak.  Translation is mild, medium, hot and holy sh$#,  I went with the hot Pad Thai and Prawn stir fry(shrimp).  The white rice that comes with every meal was essential in keeping my mouth from going ablaze.  I can always tell HOT by how quickly and severely my head sweats.  It was FAST!  I loved the shrimp with a veggie stir fry that was very hot for me.  It was true Thai food at it's best!  All of that for just 300 baht or 7 dollars.  I am not ready for "run mak".

My afternoon was spent sending 40 progress reports out to my parents.  I have to go on-line and look up each parent's email and then back to Gmail to send a brief hello and attach the progress report.  Very tedious.  It is now 18:30 and I am going downstairs to have a simple dish of fried shrimp and then off to bed.  Pretty boring I know, but I am taking care of a heavy burden that is on my mind by sending out the progress reports and getting ready for Monday.  That will be my first day with my Thai businessmen and woman. Have a good day everyone.  No pictures because I left my SD card in my laptop and my camera was rendered useless.  Bye for now.

Here are a couple pictures of Sunisa, the guy who sells the soccer jerseys.  He has promised me a good price for multiple jerseys for Dalton and Garrett.  I have bought from him for three years.  Old pals!

Check out the guys with the worship flowers.

This is the entrance to the hotel I am staying at.
