Today was a riot, in a good way. One at a time my students came in and we played "What's my Line". It is an old TV show that they never heard of. I had cardboard poster board 12x20 inches. Each student had to write what job they would like to be "when the grow up" or wish they could be. We had three groups of four. The 8 students each had one turn to put the sign with the correct occupation. Only one of the groups had their all their professions guessed correctly before the 8 turns were over. At the end of each 4 person group, the person had to explain why they wanted to become that profession. One of the students, Nung, wants to be a fashion model. Naturally, all the guessers thought it was my sole girl. When Nung took the sign his peers gave him a hard time. After all the joking was over, I told them that I did that in high school and think they were embarrassed that they said what they said since their teacher did the same thing. You can tell that they are getting more and more comfortable with me and some teasing, mild, is starting as they settle in.
Once my teaching day was over, I went to play a round of golf. The weather was actually nice out. The humidity was down and I walk 18 holes with my caddie, Dang, #62. She was not real friendly at the beginning of the round but I sweetened her up. I told her if I got a birdie, I would give her 100 baht, 2 dollars. She worked hard after that to help line up every putt. I did have two birdies and played very well. I shot a 41 on the front nine and a 36 on the back. That is a 77 total. I was awesome, if I do say so myself. My drives were all >230 yards, wow! Dang was excellent with club selection reading the greens.
Clubhouse orchids were fragrant and absolutely beautiful.

A Thai property developer has announced plans to build a skyscraper in the Thai capital that will be among the 10 tallest buildings in the world when it is completed in 2019.
The 125-storey tower will rise 2000 feet and include a luxury six-star hotel with 260 rooms, offices and an observation deck with panoramic views of the Thai capital and rooftop garden, developer Grand Canal Land Public Company said.
According to the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat, which maintains a database of the tallest skyscrapers, the Bangkok "Super Tower" will be the world's ninth tallest if it is built on schedule. It would be the second tallest if built today.
The tower will dwarf the tallest building currently in Thailand, the Baiyoke II tower, which tops out at 1000 feet on its 85th story.
Below: Several years ago I was attacked by a Masaque Monkey on Phi Phi Island after mocking the monkey and I was only able to get away by diving in the water.
It happened again. This time it was by the Asian Koel. A bird that is very noisy and colorful. There was a science fiction book and movie called "The Birds" by Alfred Hitchcock. You would think I would learn my lesson and not mock anymore. Well, apparently not, as I was walking up hole number 17, I stopped to take a picture of a male Asian Koel. He was not very cooperative. There was a female that I was able to get five feet away from, so I took some pictures. I talked to her as the males were talking to her. Done taking pictures, I proceeded to walk and the next thing I knew, I was being dive bombed by two male Koels. They were coming within inches of my head. I was swinging my cap at them but they continued for at least a minute coming from opposite directions. I wanted a closeup but not like that. My caddie said she had never seen the birds do that before. It really scared me! No pictures since I was protecting my head from swooping attacks.

Interesting Thai fact:
The town of Kanchanburi is home to the famous “Bridge Over the River Kwai”, part of the Burma-Siam railway. An estimated 80,000 to 100,000 people died in the course of the project. (WW II)
